i read the tutorial for how to make solid backgrounds in icons like this: and i cant figure out how to do it.

i'm using photoshop CS3 and i can't figure out why when i delete the background in the first step after using the lasso tool and making the cutout image the background is white not transparent and it doesn't work with trying to make the solid background afterwards. i hope that makes sense? any ideas?

Ever have a lot of trouble colouring Buffy caps? You're not the only one. Usually the caps are too dark, too blue or too orange, or a mixture of all three. So I've come up with six tutorials, hopefully covering all those aspects, to give you some sort of help colouring these caps!

I left the community [info]avatar_fans so my friends page could breathe. And mother of god, it cut down on most of the space! Man, everyone in that fucking community RAPED that place to the point where I couldn't decently find any of the posts for the people I actually care about. I had to LIKE DIG around. D< Fuck and SHIT!!!

Listen I love avatar but OMG some of those fans have to post about every little thing like its their own blog!!! SRSLY GOOD RIDDANCE. I was tired of seeing 50 fics a day about Zutara.

But the Good News is: I can read people's blog without any "OMG ZUTARA FIC #997872 'ICE COLD FIRE' YES I MADE THAT TITLE. ITS SO ORIGINAL. 8D!!!1111!!!!8990DUDE" cockblocking my friend page.
